WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook have all gone down in a major outage.
A number of people have reported that the instant messaging platform and the social media applications are not working for them on Android, iOS and web platforms.
Down Detector reports a quick spike in the number of cases of WhatsApp not working for people across regions on October 4. Users are unable to send or receive new messages. Similar behavior is observable on Instagram, where users are unable to log in, refresh their feed or send direct messages (DMs). The issue has affected people late in the evening, with outage starting at roughly 9:15 pm IST.
WhatsApp is currently struggling with problems, like other Facebook services, reads a message followed by replies and comments from users from numerous countries.
Thousands of WhatsApp users across the UK have been left without access to the popular messaging app. The problems have been caused by a vast WhatsApp outage. Users across the UK can no longer send or receive text messages, pictures, documents, and videos. Voice and video calls – both for those trying to reach an individual and organize a group chat – have also been impacted by the gargantuan outage, which has taken down a number of other popular Facebook-owned services, including Instagram and the main Facebook social media website.
